Good old e-bay!

Hi Daniel here
After Keenly counting down the days, hours, minutes and seconds this week on a pair of wicked ski gloves. The computer flashed up on Tuesday that I'd actually won the bid!! Wakka Wakka
Really chuffed today, as when i got home from school they'd been delivered. Amazing service. I can't wait to try them out, they're brilliant.
We're looking forward to getting out to train on the snow.

Mission Im'poth'able!

Hi Daniel here
A Bus, An Ambulance and the AA all in 60 minutes!
Travelling back from our Matches yesterday in the car ,we were nearly home when all of a sudden I saw an old man fall out of a bus and face plant straight into the pavement! Ouch!!!!!
The Bus looked like it was about to set off so Mum pulled in behind the bus and put the hazard lights on the car and we both jumped out to the rescue. The Old man was very shocked and was shaking well bad and his face was dripping blood everywhere.I don't think the bus pulled up along the pavement enough? I ran back to the car and got the tissues and some cushions and an old sheet that me and Robert have to sit on after we've been playing Rugby. We called an ambulance and it took about 25 minutes to arrive! How come it's quicker to have a pizza delivered?
The Old man went off to Hospital to be patched up and we attempted to leave the scene feeling pleased that we'd done a good deed for the day!
Unfortunately, when we got back in our car the hazard lights had drained the battery!! ** ****!
The AA didn't take long and we got back home just in time for X-Factor.

Good Luck Mike!!

We're sending our Best Wishes to Michael Perham who lives up the road from us. He's only 16 years old but he's set off sailing around the world in a boat on his own.
You can check out his progress by following the link

This is an amazing adventure! He's so brave. We always feel green on a short ferry journey to France, never mind sailing around the world? Think it's going to take him four months.
Good Luck Mate.
Keep Safe!

Toe Nails not to blame!!!!

After a very good 'Ski Shop' trip yesterday, Daniel's feet are thankfully feeling much better!! My feet have grown and the terrible pain i suffered at training last week was not due to my toe nails needing cutting Mum!!!!
I can't wait to try my new boots out on the slope!
Whilst we were in the shop we spotted a special visitor also having a look around the ski racing boots.....

"Rocket" Miller?

Rocket played Footie this morning in the pouring rain and was well pleased to be back in the squad. He nearly scored four times but hit the post twice and their keeper just got his fingernails to the other two...... So unlucky.... think he was trying to make up for all the missed matches due to his broken thumb? They lost again, but it was a really good match.
Must go... Mum wants to go to Iceland!! Ha ha ha ....Shopping trolley dash on t'internet.

The Thumb Cast is off!!!

Hurrah!
Robert's thumb cast has been removed from the thumb that he didn't know he had unfortunately broken when he took a tumble during the practise session at the ESSKIA National Championships weekend back on the 12th October!
Robert age11, still managed to go on and compete in the U19 age group open competition not wanting to let the team down!!
Apart from the odd tingling feeling, the thumb seems fine.
Looks Great

Latest ESSKIA News!

Daniel & Robert Poth selected for ESSKIA junior ski squad 2008/9.

After our School Ski team, Mount Grace School in Potters Bar did so well at the recent National Ski Championships at Rossendale in October. Brothers, Daniel & Robert Poth are celebrating their selection to the English School's Ski Association Junior ski race squad. Their call up selection to the Pitztal training camp in Austria in March 2009 is due to their excellent individual race results at the finals where Daniel came 1st overall and Robert was just behind him in 2nd place and their outstanding results so far Nationally and Internationally on artificial ski slopes and on snow.
