ERSA SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS 2012
30th September 2012
WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!!
DANIEL OVERALL 2012 ERSA SNOW CHAMPION
The 2nd part of the Eastern Region ski race championships were held at Hemel Snowcentre today. Both Daniel & Robert took part in this event racing for the Hemel Race club. Mum also took part as one of the necessary volunteer Race officials. Her job was finish referee.
The format of the day was 2 runs down the same course and a GS run after the main event.
After Run 1, Robert took a commanding overall lead having blasted a 12.15 run time with Daniel just behind him with a time of 12.19. Great sibling rivalry for all to enjoy! For Run 2, the start list was reversed and Daniel was the first of the brothers to race. A magical run from Daniel posted a sub 12sec time of 11.63! The challenge was on from Robert still at the top waiting as one of the last racers to race to try and top Daniels overall time. Sadly, this wasn't to be today...but it wasn't without a valiant effort which saw him ping out of the soft rutty snow course.
The Glory was Daniels today and very well deserved to be the Overall ERSA Male Champion.
The GS Championship race was won by Robert overall with a time of 10.38 with Daniel in 2nd place overall with 10.65

Robert is stoked to be returning back to the Czech Republic in January 2013 for the Ski Interkriterium International ski race held in Ricky, CZE. For those people that followed Robert's progress last season you will know that he made British history there in the Slalom race as he was the winner of the Male 1st run. During his 2nd run he unfortunately hook a gate with his arm which knocked him out of the course.... He's pleased to have the opportunity to return and hopefully sort out unfinished business!

A very supportive crowd listened to both Boys as they were interviewed about the Winter Olympic sport of Alpine ski racing and Robert was congratulated on his British U16 Alpine Ski race champion title and recent ski racing achievements! A great Olympic 'buzz' was in the atmosphere as the torch will be passing through the area on the 7th July making it's way to the nearby Lee Valley White water centre.

Robert stars in London Theatre production of Brassed off!
16th May 2012
Well not quite!! But one of his Ski Racing Trophies does... Read on....
Having heard about Robert's extensive trophy cabinet collection....Robert was recently very happy to oblige a most unusual request from the Eltham Theatre company to help them out by lending them an important prop for their production of 'Brassed off' at the Bob Hope Theatre.
The Director of the stage production required a rather large trophy for the end scene of the play when the colliery band make it to the national brass band final at the Royal Albert hall and win the prized competition!
The play was a massive success and Robert was very pleased to help them out!
One of Robert's Trophies being held up high in the 'Brassed Off' production!
